Nuffield Scholar and farmer Gwion Parry will be guest speaker at the annual Meirionnydd NFU Cymru County Conference on Wednesday 28th January.
The meeting, to be held at Dolgellau Rugby Club, will be an opportunity for those present to learn more about Gwion’s Nuffield Scholarship topic, ‘The disconnection in beef eating quality in the UK’ with an emphasis on the challenges facing the beef sector. Gwion will discuss the many farms he visited during his scholarship, including in Brazil, Uruguay, Chile and New Zealand.
Hot beef rolls will be served from 7pm with the meeting beginning at 7.30pm.
Meirionnydd NFU Cymru County President Rhodri Jones said: “I’d like to thank Gwion Parry for agreeing to be guest speaker at our annual county conference. Through his scholarship, Gwion has gained a deep understanding of beef farming across the globe and how they monitor beef eating quality in various countries, so we very much look forward to hearing about his findings.
