Shropshire based CE Projects Ltd have developed a new pump that is outstanding in dealing with sand laden slurry. They are now taking a demonstrator model all over the UK so farmers can see its ability first hand.
Elaine, CE Projects Director explained: “This new model came about because we felt our clients were looking for more reliability when working with sand. It’s been a few years in the making and we’ve been overwhelmed with the positive feedback so far. One of the farmers who tried out the pump told us that he finds himself just standing watching it work! He appreciates its simplicity and the peace of mind of having a pump designed for sandy soil, which means not having to constantly replace parts."
The new pump compliments the existing range from CE Projects and differs from them because all the parts are made in the UK.
CE Projects' knowledge of the slurry pumping industry goes back over 20 years. The business is now run by founder Simon Johnston's daughter Elaine. The business has built up a strong client base not only around their home county of Shropshire, but UK-wide too.
Farmers are invited to try out the demonstrator unit free of charge for one day, to establish it works with existing systems. The pump is installed within an hour of arriving on site, so this can be done between milkings.
