Join us on Tuesday 11th August for another exclusive Farmart Media Reader Event, as we head to the award-winning Park Farm, Crewe, home to the Lewis family, who have farmed this Duchy of Lancaster holding for more than 100 years.
Run by Simon and his wife Alex Lewis, the mixed beef and arable enterprise has evolved into a thriving and diverse farming business. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover how the family has embraced regenerative farming practices, environmental stewardship and innovative diversification projects, all while continuing to produce food and nurture wildlife.
Over the past four years, Park Farm has become well known for its spectacular sunflower and pumpkin fields, welcoming thousands of visitors each year and providing valuable educational opportunities for local schools and community groups. The farm was also recognised with the Cheshire Farms Competition Farmed Environment Award in 2024.
During the evening, guests will enjoy a lovely walk around a sunflower field and hear more about the family’s approach to farming, conservation and diversification, with plenty to see and discuss across the 300-acre holding. There will also be the chance to learn about the farm’s own beekeeping enterprise and discover the important role bees play within the wider environment.
Honey produced on the farm will be available to purchase on the evening, and guests will also have the opportunity to support the farm’s chosen charity through donations.
As always, the evening will provide a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow readers, enjoy a relaxed summer evening and gain an insight into a truly inspiring Cheshire farming business.
