Our client is one of the most respected names in UK agricultural consultancy, having provided strategic, financial, and technical advice to farmers, landowners, and associated rural businesses since the 1960s.
They are now seeking an experienced Farm Consultant to manage a well-established large portfolio of rural clients across Suffolk and the surrounding region.
The Role
You will act as a trusted adviser to farming and landowning clients, providing practical, commercially sound advice across a broad range of agronomy and farm business matters. The role is highly client-facing and offers autonomy, responsibility, and long-term relationship management.
Location: Suffolk and surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive salary and benefits, dependent on experience
Key responsibilities include:
Providing agronomic advice and crop management support
Preparing and managing farm budgets and business plans
Supporting environmental scheme applications
Conducting farm business reviews and strategic planning
Managing and advising on large-scale Contract Farming Agreements
Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
The Ideal Candidate
FACTS and BASIS qualified
Background in agronomy and farm business consultancy
Strong technical and commercial understanding of farming systems
Proven experience advising rural and agricultural clients
Confident communicator, able to build trusted, long-term relationships
Practical, solution-focused approach to client advice
