Thomasson Farms is seeking someone experienced and motivated to join their Calf Team.
The Farm
Thomasson Farms
- Located outside Nantwich, Cheshire.
- Modern, purpose-built calf rearing facilities.
- Maternity unit staffed 24 hours a day
- 1,800 Holstein heifer calves born annually.
- 1,500 Beef cross calves born annually.
The Candidate
- Proven experience in calf rearing.
- Good understanding of calf health and nutrition.
- Ability to work with and support a small team.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- High standards and attention to detail.
- Reliable, practical and able to work in a fast-paced dairy environment.
The Role
- Assist with the daily feeding and care of calves.
- Manage and maintain treatment and vaccination schedules.
- Maintain accurate treatment and performance records.
- Ensure cleaning, hygiene and biosecurity protocols are consistently followed within the calf facilities.
- Work closely with the wider farm team to ensure smooth calf flow from the maternity unit.
