As a Land-Based Engineering Apprenticeship Trainer, you will support apprentices throughout their journey, helping them build confidence, capability, and a strong foundation in core engineering principles. You will deliver structured, block-based training, guiding learners through their development while supporting their portfolio progress and overall learning experience. This role is centred around developing people as much as technical ability, creating an engaging, supportive environment where apprentices can thrive. Role Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and update training content to reflect current industry practices, equipment, and standards, ensuring materials remain relevant and engaging
- Deliver high-quality face-to-face and virtual sessions, creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all apprentices
- Monitor and assess apprentice development, provide constructive feedback, and support both their learning journey and overall wellbeing
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues, apprentices, and external partners to ensure training is effective and aligned with industry needs
- Stay up to date with industry trends and practices, while actively engaging in continuous professional and personal development
Skills you will need:
Essential:
- Proven experience in engineering, with a Level 3 qualification or above
- Solid understanding of core engineering principles and their practical application
- Excellent communication skills, able to relay information to a range of audiences
- Good understanding of health and safety standards
- Organised, adaptable, and able to manage workload effectively
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently
- Professional, nurturing and supportive approach
- Enthusiastic about learning, developing others, and delivering engaging training
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications
Desirable:
- Experience in delivering training
- An understanding of the agricultural sector
Remuneration: A competitive salary, performance-related bonus, and a comprehensive relocation package (if required), commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience.
