Step into a rewarding role as an Ag Tech Sales Consultant, where you will play a key role in driving the uptake of innovative agricultural technologies that enhance efficiency, profitability, and sustainability across modern farming businesses. This opportunity is suited to a proven sales professional with strong dairy and agricultural knowledge who is self-motivated, detail-focused, and confident in building long-term customer relationships.  Covering a defined territory, you will work closely with a collaborative and supportive team to grow sales and increase brand awareness across our client’s product portfolio. You will be responsible for expanding the use of these solutions within your area, maintaining existing customer relationships, and taking a strategic approach to identifying and developing new business opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven salesperson looking to make a real impact in the Ag Tech sector and support the continued growth of an established market leader.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To build long-term relationships with new and existing customers, understand their needs and drive product adoption
  • To generate new leads through a combination of industry events, personalised cold calling, and nurturing of existing CRM data
  • To manage the full sales process from quoting to close while maintaining an accurate sales funnel and recording all commercial activity within the CRM database
  • To achieve annual sales targets and contribute to the overall sales planning
  • To work collaboratively across the business to support shared objectives
  • To keep up to date with the product range, competitor market offerings, and broader industry developments
  • To attend trade shows and industry events to support brand awareness, networking, and relationship building

 

Skills you will need:
Essential:

  • Proven experience of working in B2C sales within the agricultural sector
  • A knowledge and understanding of the dairy industry
  • Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build long-lasting relationships, confident in speaking to farmers
  • A team player who can work autonomously and successfully as part of a team when required
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, able to manage and organise own diary
  • A professional and positive mindset, with excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in IT skills, and in particular with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Full UK driving licence and the desire to travel within the designated territory

 

Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package, including a company car and commission, commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience.
