Kalin Contracting are on the look out for an experienced operator to join the team due to further expansion. The role would start in the next 3/4 weeks or by arrangement before July. We are looking for an individual to join our team during the quieter part of the year to learn and become familiar with our operation. Our season runs from mid-September/ October and runs till April. This is not a junior or beginners role, this has been filled.
The role is for someone with experience and skills that can be responsible for a small team. The operator must be able to manage their own time and co-ordinate jobs. A good sense of direction & humour are required. The role includes maintaining the gear, working and being available during the peak season (Oct- Dec) (Feb- April) when we are busy, this is however a full-time role. We operate a modern fleet of Claas tractors 600 & 800 series.
Ideally the candidate with have at minimum THREE YEARS experience in THREE of these areas: *Swathing- Claas Twin & Quad swathers *Mowing – Claas/ Pottinger Doubles/ Triples *Operating Strautman/ Pottinger Loader Wagons *Stack/Pit operator 435s with folding forks *Combi (Pottinger) Baler operator *Drilling or Maize planting experience this would be favourable but not essential. *Truck & Trailer operator (if you had the correct licence). Training will be provided to up-skill the right candidate.
A can-do attitude is a must. Clean licence and living locally are essential. Accomodation is available by negotiation. Some other opportunity are available depending on experience. We are willing to provide additional funding & support to up-skill in other areas.
