We are a progressive, family-run 500-cow dairy farm in North Shropshire looking for an experienced and motivated Herdsperson to join our team.
This is a hands-on role within a modern, well-invested unit, ideal for someone with good dairy experience who takes pride in stockmanship and wants to develop further.
The Farm
- 500-cow herd
- 60:60 Fullwood herringbone parlour
- ADF, segregation gate & modern tech
- Uniform Agri, Crystal & CowManager systems
- Modern cubicle housing
Your Role
- Milking and daily herd routines
- Monitoring cow health
- Assisting with fertility & heat detection
- Supporting youngstock and calf rearing
- Maintaining milk quality & hygiene standards
- Assisting with fencing and grassland management
- General farm and herd tasks
- Operating machinery (training available)
About You
- Dairy experience essential
- Good stockmanship & attention to detail
- Positive, reliable and hard-working
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Machinery experience beneficial
