This year’s Great Eccleston Show saw a fantastic collaboration between Compass Fuels, Farmart Magazine, and the Lancashire Federation of Young Farmers Association (LFYFC), resulting in an impressive £1,086.22 raised for charity.
To bring the bar to life, Compass partnered with Farm Yard Brew Co, stocking it with two locally brewed favourites: LOF and Chaff. Over the course of the two-day show, the response from visitors was brilliant. All six 50-litre kegs completely sold out, with every drop enjoyed in support of a worthy cause.
All profits were donated directly to the Lancashire Young Farmers, supporting their work in developing young people in agriculture and rural communities across the county.
“We’re proud to support the next generation of farmers,” said David Chyriwsky from Compass Fuels. “This wasn’t just about selling beer. It was about bringing people together, promoting local produce, and raising money for an organisation that makes a real difference.”
The atmosphere at the bar was lively throughout the weekend, and the collaboration between the three organisations showcased the power of community-driven partnerships. From Compass’s organisation and funding to Farmart’s coverage and the Young Farmers’ energy on the ground, it was a team effort from start to finish.
With the event proving such a success, plans are already being discussed for an even bigger presence next year.
