The farming community is showing strong support for a Lancashire woman preparing to run the London Marathon following a life-changing diagnosis.
Victoria Myerscough, who works for John Cornthwaite Farm Machinery, Nateby, is taking on the challenge to raise money for the MS Society after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2024.
With deep roots in the farming sector, she says the industry has always been a central part of her life. Taking on the marathon has become a way of turning her diagnosis into something positive, while raising awareness and funds for others affected by the condition.
Support from across the agricultural community has played a significant role in her journey so far, with colleagues, customers and suppliers all rallying behind her efforts.
Her fundraising aims to contribute towards vital research and support services for people living with MS, while also offering hope to others facing similar challenges.
The response highlights the strength of community within farming.
