The UK’s largest independent fuel distributor, Certas Energy, has announced an eight-month partnership with farming influencer, Olly Harrison, to raise awareness about key issues facing Britain’s farmers.

This collaboration will include seasonal campaigns that cover topics like ensuring fuel security during harvest, resilience of fuel supply during winter, and refuelling strategies ahead of the spring season.
Olly will be educating his audience on a wide range of farm fuelling considerations and sharing practical tips on how farmers can increase efficiency and reduce the chance of fuel theft, such as with the installation of Certas Energy’s tank telemetry system that monitors fuel levels for routine usage vs sudden drops.
The National Farmers Union reported in its Mutual Rural Crime Report earlier this year that the estimated cost of rural crime in 2024 amounted to £44.1m making fuel security a key consideration for many farms (Figures from NFU’s 2025 Mutual Rural Crime Report - LINK)
The collaboration will also focus on the potential future technologies of farm fuelling.
While red Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) is not yet widely adopted by farmers in the UK, Olly will be trialling HVO in his machinery to demonstrate its performance and sustainability benefits as a possible fuel for the future of farming.
Certas Energy currently supplies around 170 million litres of fuel to over 11,000 farms and agricultural businesses in the UK every year.
A long-standing customer of Certas Energy for many years, Olly amasses an online following of over 400,000 across all social channels.
