Firefighters from both Cheshire and Shropshire were called to a large agricultural fire near Bridgemere on Friday morning (29 May).
Emergency services attended the incident at a farm off Checkley Lane shortly after 6.25am, with crews from Market Drayton and Whitchurch providing assistance to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The fire involved a disused chicken shed covering an area of approximately four acres. At the height of the incident, around 10 fire engines were deployed to bring the blaze under control.
Residents in nearby areas, including Market Drayton and Woore, reported seeing smoke from the fire, while local people were advised to keep doors and windows closed due to the large smoke plume.
Firefighters used multiple hose reels and water jets to tackle the fire from outside the building and prevent it spreading further.
By around 10am, emergency services confirmed the blaze had been contained. Drones were also being used to assess and monitor the incident.
A spokesperson for Market Drayton Fire Station said local crews were supporting Cheshire colleagues at the scene and confirmed that no injuries had been reported.
