A new smartphone app called FarmersAid will soon be available to provide clear, step-by-step guidance for the 10 most common serious on-farm accident scenarios - from crush injuries to severe bleeding and falls from height. FarmersAid is due to be available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store from June 2026.
FarmersAid will focus on the first crucial minutes after an incident, often referred to as the ‘Platinum Ten’, when early action can make a significant difference.
In high-stress situations, it can be difficult to think clearly. FarmersAid is designed to support calm, informed action while emergency services are on their way, helping those already on site respond with greater confidence.
The app has been developed by RABI together with Professor Stuart Maitland-Knibb, a helicopter emergency medicine and pre-hospital critical care consultant, and Professor Cathy Jackson, a leading expert in remote and rural healthcare. It reflects RABI’s long-standing commitment to practical, professional support for farming people.

Farmers are invited to register interest in the app now, to be reminded when it becomes available. Click the following link to register Register Your Interest for FarmersAid | RABI – Farmers Aid
