100 Staffordshire Farmers from the rural community took to the road on 7th December for the Staffordshire Young Farmers Clubs Charity Christmas Tractor Run.
Donations received so far total over £12,000, which will be split between two worthy charities: Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity and Staffordshire Young Farmers Clubs.
Starting at Seighford Airfield, the festively decorated tractors drove a 22-mile route through the villages of Seighford, Derrington, Haughton, Gnosall, Woodseaves, Eccleshall, Ellenhall & Ranton - the second time the Run has been held in this location.
The event saw an amazing array of decorations and lights as YFC members, farmers and friends created features which included giant illuminated Santas and others with huge reindeer antlers, all putting a smile of the faces of many spectators of all ages who lined the streets to watch.

Mr Eld, from the Eld family who kindly hosted the start of the Tractor Run, also judged the best Decorated Vintage Tractor. This was won by Nicki Hand-Pugh, with Edward Pattinson as the runner up. Prizes were kindly donated by Bagshaws.
LLM Vets kindly judged and provided prizes for the best Decorated Modern Tractor. This was won by Lilly Busby, with Jonathan Birchall as the runner up.
Andrew Hill, County Chair at Staffordshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, said:
“The Christmas Tractor Run was a good night; it is an event that Staffordshire YFC enjoy organising to bring festive cheer to the rural villages along with the route. Each year we are amazed by the generosity of all the spectators and their warm welcome. It makes me proud to be the County Chair.”
