The Institute of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators (IAgSA) is delighted to congratulate The Country Office on winning the prestigious Agricultural Bookkeeper of the Year award at the 2025 Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) LUCA Awards.
This marks an important moment for the profession, as Farm Secretaries and Rural Business Administrators have historically lacked sector-specific recognition. The introduction of this award highlights the vital role these professionals play in supporting
the resilience and productivity of UK farming.
Founded by sisters Sarah Glazebrook-Milner and Clarrie Dale in Shropshire, The Country Office delivers agricultural bookkeeping, payroll, grant applications, farm assurance and business management support to farming businesses across the region.
At the ceremony in London on 17 November, Sarah and Clarrie celebrated their commitment to high standards and their positive impact on rural enterprises. “We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award. We are passionate about supporting
farmers and rural businesses to maximise operational efficiency,” said Sarah.
Clarrie added: “With our family farm background, we understand the realities of farm life. We tailor our services to each client, using innovative systems to boost efficiency while staying on top of legislation.”
IAgSA also congratulates Shirley Hidderley of Hidderley’s Farm Bookkeeping, named runner-up in the Agricultural Bookkeeper of the Year category, recognised for her longterm service and dedication to raising standards within the industry.
IAgSA Chair, Louise Templeton, commented: “This award is a testament not only to The Country Office’s professionalism and dedication, but to the increasing recognition of agricultural administrators across the UK. Farm secretaries and rural bookkeepers are the backbone of many farming businesses, and it is fantastic to see their work celebrated nationally.”
The Country Office’s success reflects the innovation, expertise and commitment driving progress within agricultural administration and supporting the future of UK farming.
