The Sustainable Youth Challenge: kickstarting future farming-related careers

The Sustainable Youth Challenge from LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) is an exciting opportunity for UK students aged 15–17 to explore solutions to global environmental issues.

Focusing on sustainability, climate change, biodiversity and food security, the challenge offers hands-on experiences at Harper Adams University and involvement in national events like Open Farm Sunday.

Participants will gain insights into sustainable food systems, connect with industry leaders, and develop skills for future green careers.

The closing date for applications  - which are free, is 4 January 2026.
