Applications open for Woodland Trust funding and help for farmers to plant more trees

The Woodland Trust’s MOREwoods scheme is now open, including funding, tree supply, free delivery and expert, on-farm advice for farmers and landowners who want to plant trees and hedging. Applications for planting between November 2026 and March 2027 are now being taken.

Integrating trees can bring huge benefits such as increasing biodiversity, providing shade and shelter, preventing soil erosion, reducing flooding and much more, without taking large areas out of production.

Subsidies of up to 75% are available for qualifying projects.
