Three fundraisers are preparing to take on an epic cross-country journey this May, travelling from John O’Groats to Land’s End on classic tractors in aid of the North West Air Ambulance Charity.
The challenge, named Miles 4 Money, will see Harry Shaw, Liam Cooper and James Rawsthorn cover around 150 miles a day across a seven-day journey beginning on 4th May 2026.
The charity tractor run has been organised in memory of Jason Shaw, Harry’s dad, who tragically suffered a heart attack while driving a tractor last year. The North West Air Ambulance played a crucial role in responding to the incident, and although Jason sadly passed away, the trio say the journey is a way of honouring his adventurous spirit while raising vital funds for the charity’s lifesaving work.
Agriculture remains one of the UK’s most dangerous industries, with many farming families relying on the air ambulance service at some point. Through the challenge, the team hope to raise awareness as well as donations to support the charity’s continued operations.
Their planned route will take them through several towns and cities across the UK, including Aviemore, Falkirk, Carlisle, Burscough, Leominster and Bridgwater, before reaching Land’s End on Sunday 10th May. Along the way, the group expect plenty of tractor enthusiasts, supporters and local businesses to follow their progress.
The team will be travelling on classic tractors throughout the journey and are encouraging supporters to donate, share updates and follow the adventure online as preparations continue ahead of the May start date.
Anyone wishing to support the fundraiser can donate via the campaign QR code below or on the group’s social media pages.
