Local businesses recently came together in Penwortham to bring festive cheer and live entertainment to the area, while raising money for Galloways, the charity supporting people with sight loss across the region.
Visitors to the Penwortham festive markets were able to buy all kinds of local products, including special hampers sponsored by Compass Fuels featuring premium Lancashire products from DVINO Wines, Carron Lodge Cheeses, Honeywell Farm Shop and Farm Yard Brew Co. Every item was produced or supplied locally, ensuring that the fundraiser did not just support charity, it also supported small Lancashire businesses.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated, bought tickets or bought hampers, £225 was raised for Galloways. This money will help support ongoing services, resources and community support for people living with sight loss.
Lancashire Business Coming Together
One of the most rewarding parts of this fundraiser was the collaboration behind the scenes. Every company involved was local. Every supplier wanted to help. Every contributor gave up time, stock and support without hesitation.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the community of Penwortham, Galloways charity staff and volunteers, the local businesses who donated products and everyone who bought tickets and entered the prize draw.
