DEFRA is urging those who have already started an application for the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) to finalise their submissions before the deadline closes tomorrow.
The application window was originally due to close at midday on Tuesday 28 April. However, DEFRA later announced an extension, giving farmers until midday on Tuesday 12 May to complete and submit their applications.
A spokesperson for the department said: “If you have not yet applied, there is still time to consider how the fund could support your business.”
However, farmers who have already submitted their application have been warned that changes can no longer be made.
The fund is designed to support farmers, growers, foresters and agricultural contractors investing in equipment and technology to improve productivity, animal health and welfare, and slurry management.
Funding is split across three themes - productivity, animal health and welfare, and slurry management. Applicants can apply for grants ranging from £1,000 to £25,000 per theme, with up to £75,000 available in total for those applying across all three categories.
