Shipping container hire, sales and conversion specialist S Jones Containers is exhibiting for the first time at Cereals, the arable event held at Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th June.
The event, which is expected to welcome 25,000 farmers over two days making it the UK’s leading technical event for arable farmers, aims to provide a platform to share industry knowledge, innovation and expertise. S Jones Containers will be pitching up as an exhibitor in two double-stacked custom-built green shipping container, located at stand number 1327. Its expert team is keen to demonstrate exactly how they can support farmers looking for ways to diversify and increase the profitability of their land either by embracing self-storage or adopting futuristic Agri-Tech methods, as well as those looking for durable external storage solutions.

Self-storage facilities offer a great low maintenance way to maximise revenue of land with minimal day-to-day operational support required from landowners. In response to a growing number of first-time customers, S Jones has developed its StoragePro service to support new customers entering the self-storage sector including farmers, golf club and holiday park owners, even offering projected revenue calculations. Its full turnkey service covers all the practical aspects of the initial site set up including choosing the right container mix, considering the placement of the units, and on-site security arrangements. Stackable Topper storage units, modified shipping containers divided into smaller, rentable storage spaces with central walkways for easy access, offer a great solution when the available site footprint is limited and with S Jones’ stand at the show featuring a topper unit, visitors will be able to see this for themselves.
S Jones is also able to provide, on either a sale or hire basis, shipping containers converted into standard welfare units including canteens, toilets, drying rooms, changing facilities and office space. With many farms now regularly opening their gates to members of the public, there is also a growing need for modern visitor facilities such as receptions, cafés or bars, which are available on a permanent basis through S Jones’ bespoke shipping container modifications.
For farmers looking for a different way to diversify, S Jones’ multi award-winning Conversions Division can deliver specialist engineered solutions by transforming 10ft, 20ft, and 40ft shipping containers to support innovative new Agri-Tech facilities. Its in-house engineering team has completed a diverse range of projects to date including aeroponic container farms and a bespoke container laboratory to synthesise human urine into fertiliser which could potentially revolutionise farming. All works are completed at its own 12-acre workshop and storage depot site located in Aldridge, West Midlands.
The team can also support farmers looking to extend the life of shipping containers on their site through its mobile container repair service and ClearRestore® solution. This innovative treatment restores the colour and vibrancy of existing container paintwork while shielding treated surfaces from UV rays and improving overall site appearance.
Glen Wills, Head of Sales at S Jones Containers commented: “We are proud to support the UK’s farming industry by providing a wide range of solutions. From supplying standard shipping containers for weather-proof storage and refreshing existing shipping containers, to modifying containers to create comfortable welfare units, visitor-facing facilities or state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops - we’ve got much to offer farmers looking to improve or diversify their site. With so many ways our shipping containers can be reconfigured and reimagined, we’re inviting Cereals visitors to our stand to meet our team and discover the possibilities.”
S Jones Containers will be exhibiting on stand number 1327 at Cereals on Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th June.
