The nationwide campaign Great British Beef Week (GBBW) is back for its 16th year from 23 - 30 April 2026. Created by farmer group Ladies in Beef, GBBW unites farmers, supermarkets, butchers, farm shops, pubs and restaurants to celebrate the exceptional taste of naturally delicious British beef, while highlighting the hard work and dedication of the farmers who produce it.
Working with nature
Many farmers enjoy caring for their land in ways that can also help support wildlife and natural habitats. Whether it’s planting trees and hedgerows, growing wildflowers for bees and other pollinators, or maintaining lush pastures for birds, mammals and insects, they help keep the beautiful British countryside buzzing with life.

Jilly Greed, co-founder of Ladies in Beef (LiB), explains:
“Working with nature on farm can be really rewarding for both grass-based beef production and nature. Great British Beef Week enables us to shine a light on all aspects of the beef production process. Our LiB farmers are passionate about caring for nature, the beef they produce and are committed to delivering naturally delicious British beef for consumers to enjoy. ”
