Access to Knowledge (A2K) is inviting sheep farmers, vets and RAMAs to join a free webinar on how to manage spring parasite pressures in a changing climate. This online workshop, which is hosted by Elanco Animal Health and has CPD points on offer, will take place on Wednesday 25 March from 12:30 to 1:30pm.
Elanco ruminant technical consultant, Matt Colston, says the upcoming webinar will focus on spring parasite challenges and what can be done to protect flock health and performance as seasonal trends become less predictable.
“With changing weather patterns now influencing grazing decisions and parasite lifecycles, early monitoring and timely interventions are becoming increasingly important,” he says.
“This webinar will bring together expert insight and on-farm experience to support vets, advisors and farmers in managing spring challenges with greater confidence.”
The session will feature Emily Grant, independent beef and sheep consultant from Forrit, Ben Strugnell from Farm Post Mortems and Richard Stanbury, owner of Weston Farm.
Chairing the four 15-minute sessions will be well-known Scottish sheep farmer and YouTuber Cammy Wilson, from The Sheep Game.
Matt Colston added: “The sessions will explore a range of topics including practical strategies for managing spring parasites, a farmer’s perspective on shifting parasite pressures in recent years, and the importance of early blowfly control as seasons change”.
The agenda will include:
The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session where attendees can ask the expert panel any questions.
The webinar is free, but it is necessary to register in advance. For further information and to sign up, see https://my.elanco.com/en_gb/cpd/ruminant/a2k.
